Pigface, ice plant, or Hottentot plant (Carpobrotus edulis) is a genus of ground-creeping plants with succulent leaves and large daisy-like flowers from South Africa. They were imported in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century for decoration and ground stabilization. But this plant has become so at home in the mediterranean climat that it invades all grounds covered.
